Howard served in the Army Corps of Engineers from 1966 to 1974 before embarking on a diverse career path that included working in an auto body shop, roofing, and maintaining smokestacks. He eventually found his passion as a car hauler, where he started his own successful car transport business that he ran for 40 years.
Howard was a dedicated collector car show enthusiast and participant, always eager to share his love for classic cars with others.
Howard will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through the memories he created with all that crossed
his path. May he rest in peace.
To my family and friends”
If I live or if I die
I don’t want anyone to cry.
I’ve lived. I’ve loved. I’ve had my last day.
Now it’s God’s turn to have His say.
Just go on and sing your song.
And remember, I am glad to have lived so long.
A memorial service for Howard will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 West Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205, followed by a reception from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
