George Harold Haas

George Harold Haas passed away at age 86 in Wenatchee, Washington on January 21, 2025. Born on July 2, 1938, in New York, New York, George graduated from the University of Connecticut with degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and served in the United States Navy until honorably discharged. Professionally, George worked for General Electric in the Transportation Systems Division for 30+ years in Erie, Pennsylvania, before retiring to Wenatchee, Washington. George was an avid player of tennis, pickleball and bridge.

George is survived by beloved wife of 61 years Sandra Haas (Fleisher), daughter Peggy Haas and sister Joyce (Frank) Gall. He was preceded in death by children Gregory Haas and Pamela Haas and by his parents.

George will be remembered by his kindness and sense of humor. His memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. It was George’s wish to be cremated and no funeral service was to take place.
