Your heart, your wit, your artistry ….we loved it all.  Fred and I always enjoyed long talks with you.

My dad was beautiful. He was an artist. He was always painting since I was very young. Smoking his cigars singing to John Cougar Mellencamp, Tom Petty and Rich Mullins. We went on hikes every weekend. “Get your binoculars let’s go to Fishtrap.,” he’d say. We tracked animals together and we would try to get as close as possible so he could “hunt” them with his camera. We had an otter walk up to us at the Turnbull National Wildlife refuge. We met so many people on our adventures and he could talk up a storm. Kids loved him. My friends loved him. I love him. He saw shapes in clouds and he sent me so many pictures of sunsets. Dad, you will be remembered by the beauty you shared with so many others and I will carry on your legacy with honor. Teacher, father, artist. I miss you dearly.

I went to school with David in Camanche. He also visited my home with Sean O’Neal on one of his return visits many years ago. We had a great time. Wish we could have gotten together more often. He was a really sweet guy. I know you will greatly miss him.

He was moral, kind, ethical and a true friend to many people. He loved children and the joy they brought to his life. He was a prankster and also helped neighbors and friends with anything they needed…
      Dave was my friend, my companion, and my love.
