Bruce W. Mickelson (1946-2025) passed away April 1st after living a pretty extraordinary life. He would say he was most proud of his sons, but his sons would say they are proud of their dad for living his life centered on growth, generosity, and faith. Even though Bruce was born into a difficult childhood, he worked continually to improve his station. He joined the Navy and then during boot camp was thrust into Vietnam. Following his return, he started a family, dispatched for the Milwaukee Railroad until it folded, and then drove millions of miles as a truck driver. All along the way, he tried to elevate the lives of others. He routinely donated to charities, the homeless, to people in need at groceries stores, left large tips, and always took care of his family, whether immediate or extended. This good man is survived by his sons, Tony and Jed, his sister Becky, his granddaughter Eleanor, and a whole lot of family and friends that love him. In lieu of formal gathering in remembrance, Bruce would want us to remember to be generous to others, so please do that. His ashes will be spread by his sons in the forests where Bigfoot roams.
