Brian Alexander Smith of East Wenatchee, Washington passed away on April 24, 2025 at the age of 66. He was born on December 5, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan. The family later moved to Toledo, Ohio, where he spent the remainder of his childhood years.
Brian graduated from Roy C. Start High School in Toledo, Ohio in 1977. Immediately upon graduation he joined the U.S Navy, serving our country from 1977-1987. He served as Chief Marine Engineer from 1987-2015 on NOAA Ship Rainier.
Brian loved living in the Pacific Northwest and decided to make it his home for the duration of his life. He would enjoy his leisure time at his rural property in Tonasket, Wa. where he planned to spend much of his retirement years.
Throughout his life he has always had a love of animals, especially dogs. He would adopt the dogs who weren't wanted or were the most troubled. Brian had a huge heart that way. His dogs were always given the best life.
Brian could also be found tinkering in his garage, taking cars apart and rebuilding his Mercedes Benz collection. Brian could fix just about anything and always loved helping others in need. He was the eternal explorer and was always up for a road trip to anywhere, always fearless and prepared for any adventure.
