Anna Marie (Miller) Robbins, age 76, entered into the arms of our Lord and Savior on August 10, 2017. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Eugene, OR on July 3, 1941, and spent her early years in Lakeside, OR. She said she loved it there because she could walk to Sunday school. In 1950 her family moved to the Gualala, CA area where she helped her mother operate a local restaurant. Anna Marie attended Point Arena High School and loved singing in the choir, playing saxophone in the band and playing softball. Gualala is where she met the love of her life, Charles R. (Chuck) Robbins and his young daughter Glenda. Chuck, along with his father and brothers owned a sawmill in nearby Point Arena. They were married June 30, 1957. Their daughter, Sheryl, was born in 1959, followed by a son Charles (Rob), in 1960. In 1963 they moved to their new ranch in Trout Creek, MT. In 1965 they welcomed their last child, Rebecca, into the family. Anna Marie and Chuck loved the ranch as they felt it was the best place to raise their family. Few families could make a living by ranching alone, so Chuck worked at the sawmill in Thompson Falls, MT, and owned a welding business. This left much of the daily responsibilities of the ranch to Anna Marie and the kids. She ran the tractor and all the equipment as well as anyone could. In 1994, tragedy struck her family when Chuck was killed in a tractor accident at their home. She honored Chuck and the kids by keeping their ranch for 8 long years, as she continued to raise her cattle with help from extended family and loving neighbors. In 2002 she made the agonizing decision to sell the ranch and move to Spokane, WA to be closer to her mother, brother, and daughter. Anna Marie always loved the Spokane area and it allowed her to be closer to an airport so she could travel to see her children and distant friends. Her strong faith led her initially to the Morgan Acres Community Church, but she finally found her church home in the Liberty Baptist Church, where she cherished the fellowship and Ladies Bible study. She also enjoyed participating in card parties, and became a member of the Hillyard Senior Center, Christian Singles Fellowship and VFW Post 1474. Anna Marie was a 53 year member of the Whitepine Grange #102, Montana State Grange and a 7th degree National Granger. She held many positions within these organizations. Her husband, Charles R. Robbins and her parents, Robert and Mary Miller, precede Anna Marie in death. She is survived by her daughters Sheryl (Jim) Ewen and Rebecca (Ken) Price, son Charles (Karen) Robbins and stepdaughter Glenda (Tim) Buchanan, brothers Byron (Janice) Miller, Robert (Diana) Miller and John (Janet) Miller. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert (Connie) Robbins and Lila (Larry) Bair. She was so proud of her 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held in Spokane, WA at the Liberty Baptist Church, 320 W Graves RD, on August 26, 2017 at 2:00pm. Graveside service will be held at a later date this year at the Whitepine Cemetery in Montana.
