William Elmer Tomlinson

William "Bill" Tomlinson of Williamston; Age 92, passed away on January 30, 2025. Bill was born to Clyde and Bertha Stockwell Tomlinson on February 21, 1932. Growing up in Waterford Mich graduating in 1950 from Waterford Township HS., Graduated from Ferris State University in 1957,

His career involved many pursuits: Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 28 years ending with retirement in 1986. He served with the US Army on duty during the occupation of Germany. Bill continued to be an avid downhill skier and bicycle touring rider for many years. He belonged to Plymouth Congregational Church serving in many different capacities. Other organizations included the National Ski Patrol, Sparrow Hospital Prostrate Cancer Support Group, Over 70 National Ski Club, and operated the Bill Tomlinson Service Company.

Bill is survived by Phyllis Berry Tomlinson, wife of 70 years and family: Scott, Gregg(Ilene), Todd, Matt (Terra), 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and brother Earl(Marge).

He cherishes his great family and the interaction of togetherness over the years. (time, travel, Holidays)

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Okemos Community Church, 4734 Okemos Rd., Okemos, Michigan, 48864. Visitation will start at 11:00AM, and the service will begin at 12:00PM. The service will be followed by a luncheon.
