“Bill”, a loving son, brother and uncle, is survived by brothers, Bernie Nowacki (Christine) , Robert Nowacki, and sister, Beverly (Bob) Lipmyer .
Bill graduated from Madonna University with a degree in social work. The highlight of his career was serving as an executive director at a drop-in center for community based mental health services. Bill spent his life advocating for mental health. He was instrumental in the design of a consumer’s conference co-sponsored by the Michigan Department of Mental Health, and he developed a consumer-run program in Livonia, Michigan where he also was on the center’s Board of Directors.
Bill was a man of simple tastes who loved family, work, pinochle , cheesecake and the Lions. The funeral will be a private ceremony with immediate family members.
