Suzann Kaye Ripple

Ripple (Kaper), Suzann Kaye, age 80, of Canton, Michigan, passed away on Friday,January 3, 2025. Sue was born on April 14, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Vernon Edward Kaper and Carmen Lucille Kaper (Quint).

Sue graduated from Cody High School in Detroit in 1962. Following high school, Sue entered the world of ballet and also worked for General Motors where she met her husband of nearly 58 years, the late Larry John Ripple. While raising a family, Sue also was involved with a variety of jobs and activities at different seasons in her life. When her children were very young, Sue taught ballet at a local college and also taught young children at a dance school. Sue danced herself under a noted European ballet instructor. She even went back to data entry for a while. Sue later worked in a few different child daycare centers and volunteered in the church nursery as she loved spending time with small children.

Sue is survived by her identical twin sister, Karen (Glenn) Williams, younger sister Cherie (Don) Feldpausch, daughter Deborah Frohriep, son David (Julie) Ripple, and grandchildren Rachel (Nathan) Cromwell, Luke Frohriep, Shelby Ripple, and Lindsay Ripple.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband Larry, and parents Vernon and Carmen Kaper.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation/service that will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 34567 Seven Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152 on Saturday, February 1, 2025, 10:30 am – 11 am family visitation, 11 am – 12 noon visitation, 12 noon memorial service. Luncheon to follow the service.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Sue to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Detroit Opera, dance series.

Sue was loved by many and will be missed deeply.
