Born on December 8, 1959, in Mt. Clemens-Michigan, Randy graduated from Henry Ford High School. Randy would later join a start-up roofing company where he would spend the next 40 years helping Lutz Roofing grow into one of the largest commercial roofing contractors in the country. Known at work as “The King”, Randy had an unmistakable spirit and energy that elevated everyone around him in ways that will be missed at Lutz Roofing forever.
Randy loved everything about sports (especially Detroit Teams) and was previously a boys’ baseball coach and an AAU girls’ basketball coach. As a coach, Randy had that rare ability to bring out the best in everyone around him with not only tremendous grit and determination, but also genuine love and humor.
Randy is survived by his parents John and Glenna Washinski; his devoted partner of 30+ years, Gwen Bradley; his stepdaughter Jennifer (Pete) Nicotri; his granddaughter Brooklyn and grandson Eli; his siblings Craig (Leanne) Washinski, Kelly (Jorg) Linke, and Brad Washinski; and his nieces and nephews.
Randy is one of a kind. He will be truly missed, but never forgotten.
