She was born August 13, 1930, in the Panama Canal Zone to Emerson and Viola Fuller. She married Robert E. Whitaker on June 11, 1950, in Manistee Michigan.
Nancy was a 1948 graduate of Ludington High School and a longtime resident of Whitmore Lake. She retired from GM Hydromatic, in 1998. She also worked at the Sears catalog department, and was a secretary at the U of M Bell Tower.
She was a devoted wife and mother; while helping to build the family home and raising a family. Her hobbies included gardening, needlepoint, boating and sailing, square dancing and traveling. She also enjoyed her many pets throughout the years and had a habit of baking cookies at midnight. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamburg, a Whitmore Lake Girl Scout Leader, and a member of the Whitmore Lake Promenaders Square Dance Club.
Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert; daughter and son-in-law Ivy & Wayne Haddix; grandson Thomas Whitaker, sister Joyan Rehberger, and parents Emerson and Viola Fuller. Survivors include her children, Cindy (Richard) Nolte, Jeffery (Mary) Whitaker and Melinda (Dana) Czapla; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebration will be held Saturday May 4, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamburg MI as follows: 10 AM visitation; 11 AM Memorial; 12 PM Luncheon. Robert and Nancy will be Inurned at Washtenong Memorial Park & Mausoleum.
