Michele “Mitch” Cyr-Miquelon, passed away in Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan on March 5, 2023. Michele was born September 4, 1951 in Flint, Michigan.
She was predeceased by her parents, John Robert Cyr-Miquelon and Margaret (Peggy) Miquelon (Burley).
She is survived by her sisters, Stephanie Cyr-Miquelon (Eiler), Melanie Cyr-Miquelon (Myron), brother, John Robert Cyr-Miquelon Jr. and her daughter, Sarah Renee Boling.
After many health issues throughout her life, and lastly a 5-year battle with lung cancer, Michele succumbed to her illness and passed peacefully, without pain at Ascension Providence. She was surrounded by her daughter Sarah Boling, and daughters’ partner, Carlos Morales.
Michele was many things to many people. She was a sister, a daughter, an aunt, a cousin, a friend, an ex-wife, and most importantly, a mother. She loved country music and line dancing. She loved to cook. She loved to laugh. She told silly jokes and loved to entertain. But also, she was stubborn. She was tenacious. She was a fighter. She was going to do whatever she wanted, no matter what. She will always be remembered as a free spirit, and for her tenacity, but above all else, for the love for her daughter. In the end, that love allowed her to transition peacefully, hand in hand with her daughter Sarah, as she drew her last breath. May she rest forever in peace.
A memorial, celebrating Michele will be planned at a later date yet to be determined. Please feel free to reach out to Sarah for memorial details. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the American Lung Association at lung.org or to Children of Addiction at nacoa.org.
