Maureen, aged 75, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, surrounded by her two daughters. She was born in Reese, Michigan and raised there and in Detroit. Maureen was the beloved daughter of Jack and Roselyn Price. She shared and unbreakable bond with her older siblings, Kitty and Tim. She was a graduate of Precious Blood School and Immaculata High School in Detroit. Later she graduated from Lansing Community College. Maureen carried the values of faith, love, and community with her throughout her life.
Maureen dedicated 22 years of her professional life as a dental hygienist, earning the affection of countless patients, who experienced her genuine care and compassionate listening. Yet, her deepest passion was found in service to others. A tireless volunteer, she devoted herself to numerous groups, particularly those serving individuals with mental and physical disabilities, hospice care, Cristo Rey Community Center, and her church. Countless people benefited
from a meal thoughtfully prepared by Maureen, when they were in pain or need. She also spent many years with her Women’s Faith Group, which she started in 2008.
To meet Maureen was to feel her warmth and welcoming attitude. Her loving nature enveloped everyone she encountered, and her magnetic personality transformed strangers into lifelong friends. She was known for her vibrant sense of humor, infectious laugh, and a playful, sassy spirit that brightened every room she entered.
Maureen was passionate about dance and was a member of Happendance, where she cherished the lifelong bond with her “ageless dancers.”
Maureen’s legacy is one of unwavering generosity, boundless love, and an enduring commitment to making the world a better place. She leaves behind a family, who will forever carry her bright spirit in their hearts. Maureen is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Jim, her cherished daughters, Meegan (and her partner Jared), Kathleen (and her husband Paul), her sister-in-law, her loving stepdaughters, Beth (and her husband John), and Jeanette, her step-granddaughter, Ashley (and her husband Ethan), her step-grandson, Cody (and his wife Chelsea), and her step-great granddaughter, Madeline.
Her life was testament, as a Christian, to the power of love and service, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
