The family of Karen Merle Timmons announces, with deep sadness, her passing on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on April 29, 1937, in Bay City, Michigan, Karen was the cherished daughter of Clyde and Edna Kaunitz.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Nancy. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, James Earl Timmons; and children, Kristine (Miles) Vieau, Daniel (Bhavna) Dreher, Kurt (Anne) Dreher, Mike Timmons, Dave (Kathy) Timmons, Pam Timmons, and Gregg (Nancy) Timmons. Karen’s legacy also includes her treasured grandchildren, Noelle (Dan) Pratt, Connor (Daniel) Vieau, Daniel Dreher, Katie Dreher, Derek (Sydney) Timmons, Wren (Tim) Everson, Grace Haaland, Jeff (Shantel) Timmons, Molly (Aubrey) Schermerhorn, Anders Haaland, Roderick Timmons, and Nathalie (Don) Weakley; as well as three great-grandchildren.
Karen found joy in traveling, entertaining, and golfing. She generously gave her time to volunteering with the Kiwanis Club during her years in Sun City, Texas. Above all, Karen’s greatest love was spending time with her family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
