Janet Barna

Janet Ann Barna, 66, of Taylor, MI passed on March 29th, 2023 after a year long battle with Cancer. She never let her spirits fall and her smile was contagious throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling, camping, sitting by a fire, watching documentaries, and reading true crime stories. Spending time with those important to her was Janet’s favorite pastime and loved a good family get together. She enjoyed baking and trying to make copycat recipes of Chinese dishes.

She was born in Detroit, MI on October 18th, 1956 to Teofil and Stella (Bandarzewski) Sluschewski . She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Dennis. She is survived by her children JP (Shannon) and Kelly (Nick) and grandchildren Jackson, Mitchell, Elowen, Magnolia, and Vance. Also survived by her siblings David (Cindy), Beverly Preston (Roger), Teofil Jr. (Brenda), Linda (Bill) Hitzelberger, (Tracy), Frank (Barbara), Mary (Rick) Cooper, and Christine Sluschewski

In line with enjoying a good party, her wishes include a Celebration of Life memoriam, which will be planned for a later date.
