Guido Anthony Volpe Junior was born August 27th, 1949 in Detroit. He passed on in his home on the morning of January 15th, 2024. He is preceeded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Volpe, his mother and father, Mary Marino and Guido Volpe, stepfather, Arthur Marino and brother-in-law, Rodolfo Yapchai. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Jennifer Martin and Amy Volpe, his grandsons, Dylan and Jeremy Volpe, his sister, Linda Yapchai, and his brothers, Larry (Susan) and Joseph (Patricia) Marino, many nieces and nephews, and “like a son” Keith Hatten.
Guido married the love of his life, Marilyn Volpe, on September 16th, 1972. He was a boilermaker and proud member of Local 169 all of his working life. Guido will be remembered for his intelligence, quick wit, loyal friendship, and what he valued most in this world, his family. He loved to spend time with his daughters and grandsons and close friends. Guido enjoyed bowling, target shooting, vacationing, and playing his online poker tournaments. He had a gift of gab, a generous spirit, and a love of people. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 10th, from 12:00 – 4:00 at The Outpost at 521 24th Street in Port Huron. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, Blue Water Hospice, or to the wishes of the family.
