Grace Joan Gotts

"JoAn” was actively involved in the love of gardening, birdwatching, jigsaw puzzles and family. She loved horses, and her dogs, she loved her family and she loved babies of any kind! JoAn was a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a builder, a teacher, a “fixer-upper” and a caretaker. She endured many hardships and trials during her long life, but her faith in God and in humanity gave her the courage and determination to overcome any obstacle. She was generous, silly, happy, kind and will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

JoAn was preceded in death by her sisters Darlene June and Geraldine Downes, husband Walter Gotts and son Russell Gotts.

She is survived by her children Sharon Gotts, Sandra Sheremet, Eric Gotts, Cynthia Gotts, Christine Gotts Myers, and Michael Gotts. Also a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Also included are many extended family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the owner and staff of Pleasant Manor and Elara Caring Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Village Conference Center at Chelsea Comfort Inn on Saturday March 25 at 11:00 am.
