George was born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 30, 1949, to Charles and Iris Sherfey. George retired from Ford Motor Company as the Safety and Security Supervisor after 30 years, and during retirement, worked at Wayne State University as a Dorm Security Guard for a few years. George enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course, spending time with his family, playing the lotto with his loved one’s birth dates, or cheering on one of his favorite sports teams. Go Blue!
George is survived by his children, Andy (Colette) Sherfey, Chris (Danielle) Sherfey, Rah Sherfey, and Molly Tackett; his grandchildren, Owen, Natalie, Brayden, and Aria; and his siblings Chuck Sherfey, Jim Sherfey, and Kelly Stewart.
There will not be a public service for George; however, if you’d like to honor his memory, you can do so by playing a round of golf or donating to the American Stroke Association
