Claudia Watson Harrison

She was born on August 27, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH to Carolyn Ann and Claude Gordon Watson. Claudia, along with her brother James Oliver Watson grew up in Nepton, KY and attended school in Fleming County, KY. After graduation, Claudia married Omar Lykins Harrison, from Vanceburg, KY on 2/1/1963. They eventually moved to their family home Plymouth, MI, where Claudia worked as a Secretary for Plymouth Canton Schools. In 1992 they “retired” to FL, where she was involved with their dog Oliver as a therapy dog, was a Mary Kay consultant, and worked at the Publix bakery and enjoyed the Florida sunshine in her pool that she so loved.

In the last years of her life, she and Omar returned to the Detroit area to be close to their daughters and lived out her remaining years in Dearborn, MI. Claudia is survived by her loving husband, of 61 years, Omar Lykins Harrison, daughters Christy (Jim) Kolis and Rebecca (Sean) Whalen, grandchildren Michael (Gergana Yordanov) and Claire (Jacob Toledo) Schomberger, great-granddaughter Braelynn Marie Toledo, Niece, Susan (Erich) Walder and Nephew, Benjamin (Katie) Harrison along with other close relatives and friends. Her sweet southern charm, unique laugh, supportive and loving ways will be truly missed by all that loved her. She is now an angel guiding us and we know that she joyfully joins those she loved and missed that went before her.
