Betty Jo Weier

Betty Jo Weier, age 71, passed from this earth on Saturday, September 26, 2026. She has returned home to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Betty was born in Kennett, Missouri, on December 5, 1954. She came to Michigan at a young age and shared her upbringing with two brothers and three sisters. Betty was employed at the Buick complex in Flint, Michigan, for 30 years as a contract employee. She served as a union representative for 28 years, retiring in 2010.

Before moving to St. Clair Shores in 2018 to be near her family, she was an active member of Outreach Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan. Betty held many positions with the church, including Women’s Sunday School teacher, recording secretary, organizer of Vacation Bible School activities, the church pantry, chief cook, and bottle washer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Joe and Dorothy Skaggs, her brother Bob, and sisters Phyllis, Wilma Jean, and Jo Ann. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Venegas of St. Clair Shores; granddaughter Kiara Venegas of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandson Adrian Athans of St. Clair Shores; brother Michael Lowe of Clio; many beloved nieces and nephews; other family and friends; grand dog Penny; and her spoiled cat, Buster Rax.

It was her pleasure to serve her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is now serving Him face to face in paradise for all eternity.

Per her request, there will be no funeral or memorial.
