Barbara Lemieux

She was born to the late Anthony and Myrtle Koch in Detroit Michigan in 1927. She married the late Eugene Lemieux in 1947. They were married for seventy years, and lived together in Southgate, Michigan for six decades before relocating to Sterling Heights, Michigan in 2012. Barbara is survived by four children: Barbara [William] Cobb, Eugene [Laura] Lemieux, Larry [Vickie] Lemieux, and David [Carol] Lemieux. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband in 2017, and siblings Thomas Koch, Mildred Memering, Jerry Koch, Marie Tullius, and William Koch.

Barbara lived for her family, and leaves behind many beautiful memories. She was an avid reader and actively read and used her “many” technology devices up to her very recent illness.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Oakmont Sterling Community, Prism Medical, ACE, and Residential Home Care, for the care and compassion they showed her.

A private service for family will be held on June 30th, at 10:00am. Visitation will begin at 9:30am.

A private interment date/time will be announced when available. Final resting will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road Holly, MI.
