Alan is now survived by his loving wife, Peggy Morris; children, Mark Morris and Marla Letter; along with 13 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Alan devoted his life to being a servant of the lord, pastoring several churches over the course of sixty fruitful and joyous years. It was said about him by pastor’s who had the privilege of following Alan’s sermons on the pulpit, “who can follow that? That man makes you laugh and hits you on the head with the Bible while doing it.” Beyond preaching, Alan was a passionate photographer and cartoonist, having even been published in the paper for his cartoon series poking fun at the more humorous moments of pastoral life.
A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Jackson Baptist Church.
