Steven Katz

Steven J Katz Resident of Hollywood Hills October 4, 1952 –May 15, 2016 Steven J Katz passed away on May 15, 2016, in Los Angeles, CA at the age of 63. Steven, a native of California, resided in Los Angeles for the last 30 years. Recognized, along with his wife of forty years, Maurica, and some of their many students, they were the subject of more than forty magazine and newspaper articles. Their students have received over 38 college scholarships and 15 of their students became professional tennis players. When he wasn’t coaching, he was enjoying his second passion, playing basketball with his buddies. Steven is survived by his wife, Maurica; brother, Alan Katz; in-laws, nephews, nieces , grandnephews and grandnieces. There will be a memorial service on June 12, 2016 at Poinsettia Park; (N. Poinsettia Place & Willoughby Ave) from 12:30 – 3:30 PM.
