Born in 1941, in Los Angeles, Stanley was a musician, artist, writer, and spiritual teacher. He helped bring meditation to the Los Angeles community and co-founded an organization dedicated to that work, inspiring others to begin their own spiritual journeys.
He is survived by his daughters, Dr. Lakshmi Emory and Tracee Meyn; sisters, Kelley Lewis and Kimberly Green; grandchildren, Kyla Emory, Brandi Petway, and Langston Smith; great-granddaughter, Remi Petway and loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Ananda Lewis. His former wife and dear friend until the end, Yvonne Lewis, remembers him with enduring love.
Deeply missed by family and friends, Stanley lives on in his stories, art, music, writing, and the love he shared.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, with details announced once arrangements are finalized.
Rest peacefully, Dad. Your love remains with us, always
