Paul Bethel Sirri

Paul Bethel Sirri of Los Angeles, California, born on April 22, 1996 to Jennifer Bethel and Erik Sirri of Sherborn, Massachusetts, passed away at age 26 on February 2, 2023 in Pasadena, California. Paul spent his childhood in Bethesda, MD and Sherborn, MA and graduated from Dover Sherborn High School in 2014, where he was captain of the soccer team. He graduated from Occidental College with a degree in computer science and remained in Los Angeles to work at USC on scientific projects he felt could change the world. Paul loved his family, friends, and dog (Jurgen Klopp) and was an avid fan of Liverpool F.C. We miss his smile, his laugh, his warmth, passion, wit, and camp-director enthusiasm for life. Paul was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gene Bethel. Survivors included his parents, brother Scott Bethel Sirri, grandparents Betty and Norri Sirri and Georgianne Bethel, aunts Melinda Berry and Deniz Nelson, and cousins Richard Berry, Stephen Berry, Melinda Nelson, Alex Nelson, and Faith Nelson.

The family will hold Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. ET on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Pilgrim Church in Sherborn, MA that will be live-streamed at https://pilgrimsherborn.org/worship/watch-our-service/. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall. We welcome family and friends.

One of Paul’s happy places was Camp Joslin in Charlton, MA, where he spent his summers as a camper and later as a counselor. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made, if desired, to the Barton Center for Diabetes Education (Camp Joslin) at https://give.classy.org/psirri .
