Michael Sidney Hammond of Lancaster, California passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the age of 84. Michael was born in Bushnell, Illinois. Michael retired from GTE after 25 years. He proudly served in the US Navy and Naval Reserve for a total of 25 years.
The past 18 years of Michael's life was spent in a long-term care nursing home after suffering a stroke at the age of 66.
Michael is survived by his daughter and son-in law Kelly and Chris Brady of Arizona, granddaughter Madelyn Brady, granddaughter Karley and husband Alex Etheredge, great-grandson Emmett Etheredge and great-granddaughter Sutton Etheredge, all of Arizona, sisters Marcia Chenoweth and Janet Walker both of Illinois.
