Marian Sherman Mitchell

died on August 21, 2018, at Twelve Oaks Senior Living in La Crescenta,

California. Born in Moscow Idaho, she is pre-deceased by her parents Ted

& Harriet Sherman, her stepmother Eleanor Sherman & her late husband

of 55 years, Robert Mitchell of Northridge, California.

Marian was a very creative artist and actor. She first moved to Southern

California to pursue a career in acting after graduating from the University

of Idaho in Moscow with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. While in Santa

Monica, she met her husband Robert Mitchell who was also an actor. They

were married in 1957, and settled in Northridge, California in 1962 where

they had two sons, Matt & Colin. The Mitchells enjoyed traveling to

Northern California every summer to visit Robert’s brother Michael. Marian,

who was known by her friends as “Moo Moo”, and her husband Robert,

known by his friends as “Bob” were both very talented artists who produced

a wealth of beautiful watercolors throughout their twenty-plus years of

painting. Both Moo Moo and Bob were recipients of awards from their

water color societies.

Survivors include her two sons Matt (and wife Traysee) of Las Vegas,

Nevada, and Colin (& wife Scottie) of Montrose.

A memorial for Moo Moo & Bob will be held at Thee Elbow Room, 2418

Honolulu Avenue, Montrose, on September 23, 2018 at 6 pm.
