A private memorial service will be held by her family in Long Beach, California.

Left to cherish Lupe’s memory are her beloved sons: Victor, Raymond and Paul; her grandchildren: Art Jr., Victoria, Jessica, Sontria, Jeremie and Caitlin; and her great-grandchildren: Mason, Russell, Phoenix, Ethan, Dakota, Liberty and Olivia.

Lupe will be remembered for her unwavering independence, grace, and for always choosing love. A savvy businesswoman, she successfully operated Alpine Paper and Recycling in Pacoima, California. Throughout her life, Lupe embodied the art of stoicism, meeting life’s challenges with quiet strength, resilience and steadfast determination. She led by example, instilling these values in those around her and leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ASPCA or a local animal shelter in Lupe’s memory, honoring her tender heart and lifelong compassion for animals.
