Lois Jean Cobb

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, our mother, Lois Jean Cobb, passed away in Valencia at ninety-two years old. Lois was born on August 9, 1932, in Oakland, California. She grew up in Richmond, California where she graduated from Richmond High School.

Lois married her first husband, Charles Edwards, in 1955, and together they had four children. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom, and a team mom for her two sons. She also volunteered at the local schools. She later worked in the nurse’s office at the local high school and middle school for the San Jose Unified School District. In 1980, she moved to Valencia and worked as a clerk typist for the County of Los Angeles.

Lois was a strong, kind-hearted, and caring person. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing games with family and friends, putting puzzles together, and attending plays. She loved the holidays, especially decorating her home, and was known for the cookies she baked at Christmas time.

Lois is survived by her children, Cindie (Randy) Justice, Matthew (Maritess) Edwards, Brian (Lorene) Edwards, Stephanie (John) Maghakian, her grandchildren: Erik Salo (Hilary), John Maghakian Jr, Justine Maghakian, Christorpher Maghakian, and Kenneth Edwards, and seven great-grandchildren.

She will forever be in our hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held at (The Sanctuary Church-26444 Friendly Valley Pkwy, Santa Clarita, CA 91321) on Friday morning, November 8, 2024, at 11am. A lunch reception to follow from 12:15pm-2pm.
