Lawrence Craig Steeves was born in Colorado Springs to Joanne Zerbe Steeves and Winthrop (Buddy) Steeves. He spent most of his life in Manitou Springs living in the former home of his grandparents, Donald and Irene Zerbe.
He worked at Fort Carson in logistics for the Army during Desert Storm where his efforts in providing equipment for the soldiers was well recognized. Most of his working life was devoted to the construction industry. Craig was an avid fan of Corvettes and his 1979 Corvette Sting Ray was his pride.
Craig is remembered fondly by his family as a very kind man. He is survived by his son, Austin Cartwright and his brother Brent Steeves.
