Judy Harris, psychologist and counselor, and long-time resident of Chatsworth, California, passed away unexpectedly in her home on July 15th, 2017, at the age of 74. Judy is survived by her daughter, Marci; son, Scott; grandchildren, Sydney and Billy; brother, Larry; and Bearded Collie, Billy. Judy was born in New Jersey on December 31st, 1942 to Sylvia Goldman Enzer and Sid Enzer. Judy graduated from Upsala College and worked as a history teacher. Judy moved to California in 1976 with her husband, Gary and two children. She entered into a Master’s Program and earned a degree in psychology. Judy began a career as a MFCC, which later expanded into a long-term career in grief counseling, AIDS and Cancer counseling support and caregiver’s support groups. Judy was a staple in the Santa Clarita community and built a career and many friendships through her years working there. Judy was a devoted mother and Bearded Collie owner. She loved to cook and eat. She loved to read and write. Judy was an avid NY Yankee fan and NY Giant fan. She was the best Nana to her two grandchildren. Judy loved pink. Judy’s humor and quotes will live on in her family’s and friends’ memories forever.
