Jeffery Andrew Sers, Sr., 52 of Lakeside, California, passed away on December 17, 2017 of cancer. The Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30a.m. on January 6, 2018 at El Cajon First Baptist Church. Kevin Rogers of El Cajon First Baptist Church will be officiating. Jeff was born in Inglewood, Ca. on May 19, 1965. He graduated from Granite Hill High School. Jeff was married to Cindy Buzas on August 11,1990; they were married 27 years. They have two sons, Jeffery Andrew Sers Jr. and Jacob Nathaniel Sers. Jeff was a Recording Engineer. He owned and operated his own studio called King’s Ransom Recording for fifteen years in Lakeside, California. In 30+ years as a recording engineer and producer, he was one of the most talented and loved people in the San Diego music scene. Most recently, he played guitar with Rock band, Chasing the Fall, and with Outlaw Country artist, Cory Wilkins. Jeff’s signature melodic guitar style was recognizable regardless of the genre to which he applied it. Jeff had a hand in crafting the sound of many Southern California independent artists and bands. His kind expectation for excellence inspired everyone with whom he worked. He always held himself to a higher standard than he asked of others. His wife, Cindy Buzas Sers, parents, Hardy Sers, and Myrtis Llorens Sers; sisters, Valeri Sers Wilson and Amie Sers Gappmayer, and other family and friends will lovingly remember Jeff.
