David is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Sims Pernell; son Jonathan; daughter Linda; son David; daughter Gloria; and daughter Madeline.
David was preceded in death by son Darrell, son Garry, son Jeffrey, daughter Elizabeth Diana and son Johnie David.
Mr. Pernell also leaves eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
David served in the United States Air Force. He graduated from CSU-Los Angeles, where he earned his B.S. degree, and Pepperdine University, where he earned his MBA. David worked as an accountant throughout much of his adult life. He owned several small businesses which included tax preparation, accounting, and a daycare center. David enjoyed sports, attending concerts, traveling, entertaining, and playing cards with family and friends.
The sound of laughter, charm, and wisdom are truly missed by all who knew him.
