Daniel F. Jarrott

Daniel F Jarrott: born August 15, 1948. He died at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara on Feb 1st, 2019 from a long battle with kidney failure and cancer. Daniel survived by his loving wife, Gayle Jarrott; two children, Michael Jarrott and Stephanie Welch; siblings Leonard Jarrott and Valarie Cherot; and grandson Isaac Welch.

Daniel grew up with his parents Leonard and Viola Jarrott and siblings in Redondo Beach California. Daniel went to College at Loyola University in California, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

Daniel married the love of his life Gayle in 1980 and was married for 38 years. Dan was a loving father to his children Michael and Stephanie, and the kids spent most of their childhood in Salinas, California. Daniel worked in the insurance field for many years, and later Dan and Gayle worked together as independent accounting auditors. Dan and Gayle retired in Lompoc, California where he resided until his passing. Dan had a love for the word of God and read his Bible daily. His Faith sustained him.

Dan’s love for music included playing the piano and guitar and some wonderful singing. Dan enjoyed playing chess, watching classic movies, the LA RAMS, and of course Notre Dame Football. Dan had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. He spent a lot of his leisure time working out and loved the beach and some body surfing.

A memorial service for Daniel will be held April 20th 2019 in the Santa Barbara, Ca. area. Details will be announced at a later date.
