Beverly was born July 28, 1932, in Lofgreen, Utah as one of 12 children of Lawrence and Essie (Harris) Jones. She was raised in a railroad section house that was lit with kerosene lamps and warmed by the stove but moved to a nearby house made of railroad ties as a young girl. Through humble beginnings of a railroad family, she learned many homesteading skills that she passed down to her children including her love for cooking, sewing and a lifelong love of railroading.
Beverly lived a full and eventful life and raised four children of her own and one from her second husband’s family. She water skied, snow skied, fished, and hiked all over the West with her family and was inspired to take up photography where she won prizes for her photos. She was involved with her children and was a leader to her daughter Carol’s scouting troop. She worked hard to put herself through business school and retired as a credit manager. She had an extended family and enjoyed many gatherings with them full of love of music, food and fun.
Beverly is survived by the child of her first marriage, daughter Peggy (Berger) Nuss, and her child from her second marriage, daughter Carol Clark, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and many more from her extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Edward Paul of 28 years in November 2015, her son Paul Berger and her daughter Karen (Berger) Victory from her first marriage to Byron Berger.
She loved fiercely with her whole heart and will be forever loved by those she left behind.
Rest in peace mom – Love you always and forever.
