Daddy went I was a kid I wished we would of been closer but as a teen you became my rock and we got closer ever day you were alway there when I need you I miss you so much and hope your spirit will alway be with me I love you so so much  I pray your at your resting place but your spirit is with us love you daddy love always your little brat 

I remember hearing the concern in your voice when I told you I joined the military to pay for school and have job security. You offered to help with college, which meant the world to me, but I wanted to prove that I could do it alone. I also remember the concern in your voice when I asked you to be my family emergency plan in case my husband and I got deployed simultaneously. Knowing my daughter would be in the best care of the most loving man I knew, I was relieved. I remember my first duty station in California. I called you for so much gardening advice. I loved that you would always be a phone call away. Going to air shows or just dropping by for lunch dates. When I told you the military was moving us to Alaska, I had many plants in my yard, and I knew you would care for them. I cried as I loaded them into your truck, but I knew I would see you again. I remember calling you in Alaska when I had a nightmare that you had passed. Your words were so calming. "Sweet pea, I'm ok, I'm in good health," reassuring me I will see you again. And sure enough, I did see you again. When COVID hit, you were my first concern. I knew I wanted to talk to you, but there were challenges

Papa, 
Growing up as a child, I could count on one thing faithfully, every Thanksgiving. You took the time to visit me. These were the most precious moments of my life. I remember waking up at 4 am to sit with you while you drank coffee. I remember mom would turn on the radio as we would sit there, and I would sing to you and remember my favorite song to sing to you specifically was Grandpa (Tell me 'bout the good old days) by The Judds. I still share that moment with my daughters, telling them how I would sit on your lap, sing, and rub your beard. I remember the many fishing trips. I fell asleep on your belly and napped as we watched old western movies. I was listening to your heartbeat as I nodded off with you. Going out and shooting guns, showing you that I could shoot just as good if not better than the big boys, even at eight years old. I remember the horrible pranks that I now look back on and laugh at, even though it wasn't funny at the time. The Chinese restaurant and "Rocky Mountain Oysters" still haunts me to this day.
Not to mention I now check the water temperature before I dive into any lake to avoid feeling the icy snow runoff at Trinity lake because I would dive in the lake and ruin the fishing for you. Sitting in the back of your truck when we went to the dump to see the bears, feeding deer licorice off the cabin porch, catching frogs in your garden, going to the hardware store to get bug spray, picking the snails out of the garden when they just would not die off, learning how to can tomatoes from the garden, not to rub my eyes after picking peppers, selling the fruits of your labor at the fruit stands around town, the enormous meals at Ford's cafe I could never finish, and sharing fresh fruit off the tree. I miss you sleeping in our garage because the house was too hot and joking about the mice snuggling to you. As I grew older, yes, life got in the way, and I had no one but myself to blame.

Papa you will be missed. I might not of got to know you as well as the others but I was planning a trip to see you but it is to late for that but I did love you from your carrot top

Oh my heart. I love you so much grandpa stambaugh! May you rest in peace. I will never forget the time you came down to granny and grandpa's. We were sitting at the table in the kitchen and i was sitting on your lap and you told me I was your favorite and not to tell anybody. I hope you're dancing with the angels. You will be missed by so many.

I love you very much Papa. You will forever be in my heart. May you rest in peace 🙏 

 Daddy we will miss you more than you would ever say from state to state  but I know because you and I were so close that your going to be with me love always your daughter number 4  Sharon
