Heaven welcomed home a spirited soul on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, when Cecilia Irene Cawley-Redman, 74, passed peacefully at her home in Petaluma surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer. She was born in San Francisco, CA and spent her childhood in Marin County and most of her adulthood in Marin and Sonoma Counties.

Cecilia’s life was a beautiful tapestry of faith, love, and generosity. She worked as an insurance broker, where her deep knowledge and conscientious nature earned her the trust and admiration of clients, colleagues, and friends alike. For her, it was never just about business—it was about caring for people, protecting families, and helping others find peace of mind.

Outside of work, she filled her days with joy, generosity, and meaningful connections. Whether she was sharing advice, offering a listening ear, or lighting up a room with her quick wit, she gave her best to everyone she met. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends, and her presence made every gathering brighter. She gave more than she took, loved more than she asked for, and left every space brighter than she found it. Her family will remember how proud she was of her family history and how she was fascinated by stories of her Mexican and Irish ancestors, how she dressed in such a unique style, how she always showed up at a party with over-the-top decorations to add to the fun, and how she made the best tamales ever. To know her was to know kindness, laughter and the true meaning of friendship. We rejoice in knowing she is reunited with loved ones who went before her, and we honor her life not with tears but with gratitude for the years we shared. Cecilia’s light remains with us, and her love continues to guide us.

Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Isela and son-in-law, Erik, her cat, Lupita, her rabbit, Zinnie, and her siblings, Linda, Robert and his wife Lisa, Maryann and her husband Steve and Susan. She will be missed not only by her family but by the many friends and loved ones whose lives were brightened by her presence.
