Shirley Louise Hurt

Shirley Louise Hurt (Shirli), age 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Ojai, Ca. on September 12, 2018, with her sister Ruth by her side. She was born in Santa Paula, Ca. on April 24, 1951 to Ivy and Mildred Hurt. She lived in Ojai most of her life and lived in Hawaii for a short period of time. She graduated at Nordhoff High School in 1969. Shirli worked at the Ojai Valley Inn and later went to Ventura College to become an LVN. She worked at the Ojai Manor Convalescent Hospital for several years. After that she worked at Acacias Nursing Home until she retired. Shirli loved her work, she was very compassionate and caring for the elderly. Shirli loved to read, watch old movies and spend time with her little dog, Olaf.

Shirli was preceded in death by her parents Ivy and Mildred Hurt, and her niece Abra Granger. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Granger, niece Samantha Showers, great nephew Adam Granger and great niece Rylee Granger, all of which resided with Shirli in Ojai. Also niece Jessica Granger, nephew Ivan Granger, niece Staci Lasby (Richard) and great nieces Emily and Sidney Lasby, Camryn and Cody Deason.
