Robert Owen Broslow (January 30, 1927 - October 20, 2017) Robert Owen Broslow was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Dorothy Weinstein and Herman Broselow on January 30, 1927. During childhood in Vineland, NJ, he was an active member of the high school’s marching band playing the tenor saxophone. At age 16, he entered Drexel University where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree in 1947. Following graduation, he entered Princeton University to complete his Masters of Science in Engineering degree. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked with the city engineering department and with several engineering companies before his employment at Rockwell International. Bob retired after 25 years with Atomics International in Canoga Park, CA. so that he could devote the remainder of his working years to his private structural engineering practice. Bob married Arlene in March, 1971. They began playing duplicate bridge a few years later and traveling extensively to attend tournaments. Bob achieved Bronze Life Master status. Bob and Arlene also traveled with their friends and relatives to many countries during their 46 years together. Aside from Arlene, Bob leaves behind his 3 daughters, Laurie (Mark) Yuricich, Susan (Dan) McDonell and Holly Reid; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his brother, Stanley (Bernyce) Broselow, brother-in-law, Arnie (Robin) Schwartz, sister-in-law, Andrea Abrams and many nieces and nephews as well as many friends. We all want to thank Assisted Hospice and Treacy Villa for comfort during his final journey. A family gathering with scattering of ashes will take place at a later time. Donations to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers will be greatly appreciated.
