Nancy Mitchell 12/23/42 - 07/22/17 Nancy Mitchell died at her home on July 22 from advanced lung cancer. Born on December 23, 1942 in Massachusetts, she moved to Oxnard, California in 1965. She mastered the printing business; from rubber stamps and typesetting to flyers and business cards. After several years working at Oxnard Printing, she successfully ran Nancy Mitchell Lithography. Family, friends, and her pets were most important to her. She enjoyed attending fairs and festivals; never missing the Scottish Highland Games or the Annual Strawberry Festival. Among her favorite pastimes was to go line-dancing and sing karaoke with friends on the weekends. She is survived by siblings; Sally Proteau and family, and Richard Brown and family both of Massachusetts. Daughter, Donna McGrath, and grand daughter, Cory (Edwards) Dow and family of Ventura. A gathering of friends and family is being held on Saturday, August 12th from noon to 3pm at her home, 3025 Kelp Ln in Oxnard. The SHORES is having a Memorial Karaoke Tribute and Potluck to Nancy on Sunday, August 20th at 2pm. Arrangements respectfully handled by Neptune Society.
