June Harrison Kuykendall

June Harrison-Owen Kuykendall, born in Melbourne, Australia on July 4, 1924, passed away March 21, 2018 in Santa Barbara, California. She is survived by her four children: John (Carolyn), David (Barbara), Susan, and Peter (Becky) Kuykendall, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

June met the love of her life, Wayne, in Melbourne where they were married in 1945. She came to Oregon as a new bride in 1946 and lived in Oregon, Washington, Colorado and finally California. In all of her homes, her passion for gardening was evident.

June had a keen intellect and always loved animals. She had a world-class talent for croquet, coupled with a killer instinct. With a gift for entertaining large groups, she and Wayne were firm believers in moderation in all things, especially moderation.

She was a lovely lady, blessed with a beautiful smile, a gentle graciousness and love for her family.
