A better uncle I could not wish to have had. So many memories of trips he and Morya made to Newcastle when I was growing up, always inspiring me to get into business when I was older. We have special memories of our time in Houston when they were there at the same time, sharing meals together at their golf club in Kingwood. The photo is from their Houston Kingwood house when the kids were still very young. A life well lived but John will be sorely missed.

Shirley and I dearly remember many golfing days with John & Moyra followed by wonderful pizza at our then favorite pizza place in Ventura.  We also regularly exchanged dinner invitations.... After dinner, and over good single malt scotch and equally good cigars, John and I would solve the world's problems on our respective back a patios amid great laughter.  John & Moyra generously hosted us several times in Houston when they moved back there some years ago.  He was a wonderfully "real" person, relatable, genuine, generous and kind.  We will miss him!

John was one of just a few people that had a great positive impact on both my career and personal life.  I always looked up to John and tried to emulate his management style.  I was at Lincoln for almost 41 years and can honestly say,  “he was the best president”.

I will not forget him!

I had the privilege and honor of knowing John during our time together at Lincoln.  He was quite an engaged leader, involved in all aspects of the business, challenging us to think about strategic and creative ways to grow our markets.  Always loved his great grin!   

I was saddened to hear of John's passing.  I worked with John during his days at Lincoln Industrial and was always impressed with his leadership skills and more importantly, how he treated other people, with much warmth and respect.  John and Moyra were wonderful people to be around, either at a business event or simply visiting. John was one of the good guys, he will be missed. 

I worked for John Little for over 15 years and watched him transform a marginal industrial company into the top performer for our corporate owner - utilizing his amazing knowledge, drive and uncanny instincts.  Most important was John’s demand for honesty and integrity. A trusted third party I contacted regarding a serious issue offered - it’s perfectly legal to proceed with one of the options we discussed but added “knowing the squeaky clean way that your company does business, I doubt that you will”. 
What better legacy for a man or an organization to have that reputation!
A great man has died. 

I will always remember John asking about my daughter Maggie soccer games. He loved to hear stories of her taking down the opponent or making goals! I have fond memories of listen to John’s stories & drinking wine with him & Moyra. Thank you for your kindness & we will miss you! 

I will miss my good friend John with his great stories and advice.  We will always remember the backyard gatherings we shared with John and Moyra while having a glass of wine with salmon and cheese.  Thank you John for the special times we all shared.   

There are so many wonderful memories of John that would fill a notebook.  I think sitting in the patio listening to his stories is my fondest memory.  Telling us of his childhood growing up during the war and quoting Churchill. Of his football days.  Of his travels.  Of his family. How he met and fell in love with Moyra. Talking to me about his mum.  I could listen to him all day.  And best of all his singing "Danny Boy" to us.  To me that will always be John's song.
I miss you John everyday.
