Donald Otto Parrett

Donald O. Parrett of Santa Barbara, CA passed away peacefully on June 26, 2023 at the age of 84. Donald was born on January 14, 1939 in Ann Arbor, MI, where he grew up. He was a great man who loved our lord and savior Jesus Christ. He also loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donald was prior President, Home Health Care at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL before retiring. He worked for Baptist for 26 years.

Donald is preceded in death by his Parents, Donal Allen Parrett, and Margaret Nora Parrett.

Donald will be missed by his loving Wife, Mary D Parrett (DeDe), his daughters, Debbie Shilling (Marty), Sandy Perez and Kari LaBoe, Stepson, Zach Fields (Melanie), Grandchildren - Eric Shilling (Betsy) Donnie Shilling, Jena Dirkse (John), Megan Birkhold (Joe) and Great-Grandchildren - Sophia Shilling, Jacob Shilling, Micah Shilling, Josie Jones, and Jonathan Birkhold.

Donald enjoyed traveling, hiking, skiing, biking, and many other sports.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Cottage Health in Santa Barbara, CA for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on July 29th at 10:00 AM. The location will be at Fort Caroline Baptist Church. The address is: 11428 McCormick Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225
