Mary Jo August

Mary Jo August of Lawndale, CA passed away on Saturday August 22, 2026 at the age of 74. Mary Jo was born on September 11, 1951 in Garden, CA where she grew up as long time resident of the South Bay area.

She graduated from Mira Costa High School in 1969

She worked as Payroll Manager.

She was actively involved in Rainbow Girls and St. Paul’s UMC

In Redondo Beach and Chaplain for UMW at First Church of Torrance UMC.

She was preceded in death by her Father Morton Frederick August Sr, and Mother Jo Ann Bryan

She is survived by her brother Morton F. August Jr., Virginia P. August, Penny Roebuck White and extended family
