August 21, at age 82.
Cesar was born June 4, 1936 in Recife, Brasil, and came to the United States when he was 24. He worked in landscaping, property management, and for both American and Continental airlines before he retired in 2002. His biggest loves besides his family and friends were soccer, movies, and music. Cesar is survived by his wife Susan Bowring; sons Marco (Kimberly), Marlus (Megan), Chris Summers (Kelly); stepson Michael Fanthorpe; grandchildren Mia, Marcus, Marcia, Audrey, Skya, Slater; Ian and Blake, sister Marleide (Ewe) Hoffmeister, niece Claudia (Sergio) Silveira, and several other relatives in Brasil.
Cesar’s ashes will be scattered at sea in September, surrounded by his close family. A memorial brick will be placed at the Wayfarers Chapel Walk of Honor in Rancho Palos Verdes
