Luke Ivan Milick, DDS, passed away peacefully the evening of May 16, 2018, with his wife Chabela Arciga by his side. Dr. Milick was born in San Pedro on November 19, 1930, where he spent his youth prior to moving to San Francisco with his mother. It was there that he attended high school, married, enlisted in the US Coast Guard and attended dental school at UCSF. Upon completing dental school, Dr. Milick returned to San Pedro and held practice for over 40 years. He had three children and spent many years enjoying activities with them, including, scouting, camping, road trips and family gatherings. In 1984, Dr. Milick began his second chapter with his beloved Chabela. The two spent many holidays on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, where they married in 1992. They enjoyed traveling in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Central America. Together they loved life, one another and their large blended family. Dr. Milick was predeceased by his parents, Mary Skorin Fominih and Anton Milick, sister Lena DelTorto, and Betty Milick, the mother of his children. He is survived by his wife Chabela, three children; Marie (Jim) Borchardt, Luke (Amy) Milick, Steven (Kristen) Milick; step children; Luisa Smith, Eddie Steger, Richard Steger, Carmen Bucciarelli, Robert Paul Steger and Eloisa Burlingame; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cousins and dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 1:30 pm at the Improved Order of Redmen Sequoia Tribe #140 Wigwam Lodge, 543 Shepard Street, San Pedro
