Lesley Irene Godin

Lesley Irene Godin was born to the late Dewey & Irene Smith in Long Beach, CA on February 27, 1953. She grew up in Long Beach, attending Horace Mann Elementary, Thomas Jefferson Junior High and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School.

Lesley met the love of her life, Patrick "Eddie" Godin while they were attending Horace Mann Elementary and remained friends throughout their childhood years. They had their first date when Lesley was a sophomore and Eddie was a junior, at the Circle Drive-In in Long Beach and the rest is history!

Lesley was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend March 6, 1971 at Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance, CA. They had 4 beautiful children together, and raised them in Torrance, CA. She raised them with respect and love. She & Eddie often took the kids to Glamis & the Colorado River, where they would wind up buying a vacation home.

Lesley was a wonderful source of advice and love for all that knew her and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was her absolute happiest when she was at Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland with her family, where she could enjoy people watching.

Lesley is survived by her husband Eddie; her 2 daughters Marie and Tammy; her 2 sons Patrick and Jeffrey and her grandchildren Valerie Godin, Stephanie Godin, Shelbie Willis, Sariah Harty, Rhema Harty, Anthony Godin, Annalee Godin and Juliette Godin; many nieces and nephews that she helped raise. She is preceded in death by her sister, Sydney James; and her parents.
