Lawrence Ford Yadao, better known as Lawry, went home to the Lord on May 29, 2017 surrounded by Family. He was born on July 22, 1930 at the Waialua Sugar Plantation, Oahu, Hawaii to Rev.Emilio Castro Yadao and Anita Guerrero Yadao. He is survived by Trinidad Rabut Yadao, his wife of nearly 64years, daughters Lawrene Rene’ Miller (Ken), RoseAnn Estrella Niestemski (Michael), son Lawford James (Debbie); his sister Amapola Barte (Frank), eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His loved ones called him Papa. He will be remembered by many young people he mentored in many Methodist churches in Southern California especially the Christmas Institute program. He was a member of Wilmington First United Methodist Church for over 30 years where he sang with the Chancel choir. He enjoyed singing and whistling. He loved to share words of wisdom with all he met. His love of photography captured many treasured moments. In retirement he enjoyed traveling and fishing and especially liked teaching others to fish. His greatest regret was that he didn’t get to use his 2017 fishing license. He will be remembered as a man who loved the Lord
