Joyce will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, sassy spirit, infectious laugh and her love for her family, friends and grand pups, Missy and Sierra. She also loved wearing hats and reading anything she could get her hands on. You rarely saw her without a book in hand or close by.
Some of her happiest memories were made on the road with her beloved husband, Mickey McMaster, and their pet, Chevez. Summer trips to Bishop, CA. with Mickey, Terri, and Tim meant fishing, soaking up the sun at Keough’s Hot Springs, and enjoying time together. After retiring, Joyce and Mickey traveled by RV to Canada with friends, making beautiful memories along the way.
Over the years Joyce called Oakhurst, Coarsegold, Yosemite and Bass Lake home. She spent the last 23 years in Long Beach, CA.
Although her sassy personality and infectious laugh will be missed immensely and will live in the hearts of those who loved her, her family takes solace knowing she is at peace, reunited with Mickey and surrounded by love in heaven until they meet again.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life James (Mickey) L. McMaster who passed away September 28, 2009.
There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains.
