

Born March 19, 1938, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Brad grew up there and graduated from Waukesha High School. It was during his early years that he developed a lifelong love of sports, particularly basketball. He attended Carroll College and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in civil engineering.
Brad met his wife Karen at the University of Wisconsin. They married January 25, 1964. Their marriage was marked by enduring love, mutual support, and shared ventures throughout their lives together.
He spent 36 years with Grand Rapids Gravel, serving as Vice President and playing a significant role in the company’s success. He was also co-owner of Coit Avenue Redi Mix. Known for his strong work ethic, kindness, and reliability, Brad was regarded by colleagues as someone they could always depend on.
A devoted father and grandfather, family was central to his life. He especially enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren. Over the years, Brad lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sanibel Island, Florida, and Rancho Palos Verdes, California, where he moved to be closer to family.
Outside of family, his greatest passion was golf. Brad enjoyed golfing with friends and was a member of Egypt Valley Country Club in Michigan and The Forest Country Club in Florida. He also enjoyed working out and running and was a member of the Whitneyville Track Club in Michigan. He was a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Karen; his beloved brother, Art; children, Trevor and Michelle; and five grandchildren.
